Designer de formation, Cécile Philibert grandit à Paris et trouve son équilibre entre la ville la semaine et la campagne le week-end. En 2006, elle crée sa propre structure pour se mettre au service des grandes marques parisiennes : Chanel, Issey Miyake, Jean Paul Gaultier et bien d’autres …
En 2018, elle faire le grand saut et s’installe en lisière de forêt à Barbizon, le célèbre village des peintres impressionnistes de Seine-et-Marne. Là, elle commence à y créer ses propres sculptures. Abstraites, en pierre brut, elles ne sont pas sans rappeler les reliefs des rochers de la forêt qui l’entoure.
Rapidement, sa fascination pour la lumière s’invite dans son travail et se conjugue au mystère infini de la nature. Ce qui la pousse à créer des sculptures à la fois légères et imposantes. Dans une recherche permanente d’un équilibre harmonieux entre des volumes aériens et purs et la force de l’authenticité des matières brutes.
Chacune des sculptures lumineuses est minutieusement fabriquée à la main. Sur une structure légère et graphique en moelle de rotin, elle superpose des morceaux de papier de soie délicatement déchirés pour crée un jeu de transparence accidentée qui guide la lumière au cœur de la matière. Après plusieurs jours de travail, la sculpture s'illumine et la magie opère !

In 2018, she took the plunge and settled on the edge of the forest in Barbizon, the famous village of impressionist painters in Seine-et-Marne. There, she begins to create her own sculptures. Abstract, in raw stone, they are reminiscent of the reliefs of the rocks of the forest that surrounds it.
Quickly, his fascination for light invites itself into his work and is combined with the infinite mystery of nature. This drives her to create sculptures that are both light and imposing. In a permanent search for a harmonious balance between airy and pure volumes and the strength of the authenticity of raw materials.
Each of the light sculptures is painstakingly handcrafted. On a light and graphic structure in natural rattan core, she superimposes pieces of delicately torn tissue paper to create a play of uneven transparency that guides the light to the heart of the material. After several days of work, the sculpture lights up and the magic happens!
